Forget Mario Kart, DreamWorks Is Coming with Its Racing Game, and It’s Going to Shake Things Up

We’ve had a few DreamWorks racing games, such as Shrek Smash n’ Crash Racing in 2006, Madagascar Kartz in 2009, and DreamWorks Super Star Kartz in 2011. It’s safe to say that we don’t have many fond memories of them. Fortunately, DreamWorks is making a comeback with DreamWorks All-Star Kart Racing.

Playable Characters

With around twenty playable characters from DreamWorks movies, DreamWorks All-Star Kart Racing promises to be at least fun, if not fantastic. The lineup includes characters from Shrek, such as Shrek, Fiona, Donkey, Puss in Boots, and even Mort (the wolf from Puss in Boots films) if you go for the Digital Deluxe version. Megamind and Titan from Megamind join the party alongside Hiccup and Astrid from How to Train Your Dragon, and Ted from The Boss Baby. Kung Fu Panda boasts a significant cast with Po, Tigress, Master Shifu Sweng, and even Master Oogway if you opt for the Deluxe version. Lastly, the Trolls from Trolls will accompany every racer on the track, somewhat like Lakitu in Mario Kart.

Racing Tracks

The tracks also promise to be as diverse as they are original. Get ready to race through the kingdom of Far Far Away in Shrek, Bergen Town in Trolls, Baby Corp in The Boss Baby, or the New York City Zoo in Madagascar. You’ll be able to challenge your friends in local 4-player or online 8-player matches and prove that even if you’re struggling in Mario Kart, you can hold your own in the world of DreamWorks.

DreamWorks All-Star Kart Racing is produced by GameMill Entertainment and will be released on November 3rd for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X, priced at $39.99.
