LEGO Officially Announces Its Animal Crossing Collection!

Animal Crossing is back, all dressed in bricks, in a collaboration with LEGO.

Nintendo confirmed the collection by releasing a short video on social media, unveiling the iconic Animal Crossing characters in LEGO. The video is accompanied by a song that Animal Crossing fans will undoubtedly recognize.

Following the success of the Super Mario collection, it wasn’t surprising to imagine Nintendo wanting to try its hand with another of its franchises. After years of relentless requests, players were hoping to see a Zelda collection instead. However, it must be admitted that the DNA of the Animal Crossing franchise particularly lends itself to the construction and customization aspects of LEGO (especially since the release of New Horizons).

LEGO and Nintendo have not announced an official release date for the collection. According to Polygon, LEGO leakers believe that the collection will arrive in March 2024 and will include five sets ranging from $14.99 to $74.99 US. However, this is a rumor, so it should be taken with a grain of salt.

The preview doesn’t provide a real glimpse of the collection, but the Animal Crossing universe is rich in color and perfectly suits the LEGO style.
